Blows off accumulted dust..... Hello Blogger, it has been five years since I posted anything here. In that time the blog has become what seems like an obsolete web medium, whether this is due to organic changes in how the internet is used or the pernicious influence of the algorithmn (the Enshittification of the internet) I can't say. I like writing and have had some good ideas for posts and follow ups to content already published so I had looked at alternative platforms as it would seem blogger is either not supported or will soon become unsupported/taken down. The current front runner for alternatives seems to be Substack, though it seems like that platform is largely used by political writers. Just from looking around myself I can see that for better or worse YouTube appears to be the platform of choice for this type of content. I have a face fit for radio and don't really have the time for scripting, filming and editing. I also have no desire to get sucked into dancing to the demands of the YouTube algorithmns for views. This means that YouTube is not really something I would like to pursue. I have noticed that some of my work and ideas has been replicated on some YouTube videos (Not the channel Fandabidozi, which I really like) so I am going to take the content here offline until I either find an alternative platform or come up with another means to develop ideas based on my research.
